Rec Path Grooming Update
Stowe Parks & Recreation| Event Info |
Let the fun begin! The Stowe Tour de Snow is not a race! It is a unique opportunity to try new things, to challenge yourself, to enjoy the Stowe Rec Path and all the fun-filled activities organized by local merchants and friends of the Rec Path. Bring the whole family, friends and neighbors, and make it a special day in Stowe. Pick and choose the activities that best suit the ages and ability of your teammates and family. The later part of the course (between Whiskers Field and the Village of Stowe) offers a heavier concentration of activities suitable for the little ones. The option to hop on the Stowe Mountain Road Shuttle is always there may you feel the need to cut the adventure a little shorter. Keep in mind that the Finish Celebrations will take place in the heart of Stowe at 2pm. Food and DrinksDuring the day, some water and some apple cider will be available on course. Also bring your own water if you are skiing or walking with many little ones. Plan on preparing your own S'Mores over a fire pit at the Stowe Parks and Recreation station in the Whiskers' Field For something a little more substantial, Piecasso Pizzeria and Lounge is offering Tour participants a special during the course of the event for everyone wearing an event bib: Two slices and a soda for $5.50. They are located at 1899 Mountain Rd, and also right on the Rec Path near the Farmer's field (follow the arrows on course!) Laughing Moon Chocolate will also offer FREE hot chocolate in their store located in the heart of Stowe Village at 78 South Main Street from 12-4pm. Make sure to visit this sweet little shop and while you are there support them and treat yourself to a special chocolate delight! Cider and donuts will be offered by Coldwell Carlson Real Estate in their office also on Main Street. TransportationWe strongly encourage all to use the Stowe Mountain Road Shuttle for at least one leg of your adventure. It is convenient, fun and FREE! The shuttle stops on Main Street in front of the Akeley Memorial building before turning on the Mountain Road. Check the regular schedule to better plan your Stowe Tour de Snow. Plan on leaving your car at one of the following locations and catching a trolley ride. Parking Options
